In future “Georgian Water and Power” shall use only the most contemporary and ecologically safe technologies to obtain water. Such technologies have maximal effect during processing of raw water. The Company plans to put the sewerage system in such order that it shall become a sanitary and ecological safety shield Tbilisi population. This means that the capital’s waste water shall be completely cleaned from organic and inorganic pollutants and the water, complexly cleaned, shall be returned to the nature.

The Company’s environmental priorities:

• application of the most modern technologies and obtaining of water through ecologically safe ways

• cleaning of waste water coming from Tbilisi and its neighbouring territories from organic and inorganic pollutants completely

• elimination of discharging of waste water into the Mtkvari river

• modernization and re-equipment of Gerdabani water treatment plant

• maximal protection of sanitary zones
