18/04/2010 Joint event of GWP and Ministry Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Georgia
On April 18 at 12 o’clock on Tbilisi Sea coast and nearby territory environmental protection event was held. The event was organized by GWP and Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry of Georgia.
The aim of the event initiators is to arrange green spaces on Tbilisi Sea coast and nearby territory, which is one of the main sources of Tbilisi water supply. Among attendants will be Minister Mr. Goga Khachidze and General Director Mr. Joerg Matthies.
GWP purchased about 700 planting stocks from forestry. The mentioned planting stocks will be planted by the management members of the company nearby Grmagele Filter Plant, one of the main facilities of the company.
General Director of GWP and Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental protection also discussed the issue of dirtying of Tbilisi Sea zone with polyethylene bottles and other household rubbish and plan joint measures for eradication of such facts in future.
