"Rustavi Water”


“Rustavi Water”, together with “Georgian Water and Power” and “Mtskheta Water”, is a member of one and the same investment group, rendering water supply and drainage service to 49 932 customers in Rustavi, 4 713 customers – in Gardabani and 62   customers – in Marneuli, budgetary organizations and commercial objects, among them. The cost of the service being provided by “Rustavi Water” equals to GEL 3,0 per person.

“Rustavi Water” is gradually carrying out rehabilitation and planned works on water supply and drainage networks, liquidates emergency damages. The population is permanently being informed on water supply suspension with the purpose of execution of rehabilitation works.

The majority of network rehabilitation works initiated in Rustavi are already completed. The town is uninterruptedly supplied with water. The Khrami headworks are operating in full load. Special attention is paid to gradual removal of drinking water supply schedule and maintenance of drinking water quality.

Reconstruction works of main water pipeline feeding Rustavi are underway. The works are executed by “Rustavi Water”, together with “Georgian Water and Power”. Due to the mentioned activities water supply of Rustavi has become more reliable and stable.

Besides, reconstruction works of power sector on “Rustavi Water” headworks are completed – 6 kV capacity and 2,2 km long new overhead line and 16 MW new transformer are installed which gives the opportunity to supply riv, Khrami headworks and pumping stations with reliable and uninterrupted power.

The chemical-bacteriological laboratory of “Rustavi Water” operates effectively and controls water in uninterrupted regime.

“Rustavi Water” is developing a new base in order to specify   number of consumers. In parallel, it suggests to its customers the program of favourabe old debt restructuring.



 

“Mtskheta Water”


“Mtskheta Water”, together with “Georgian Water and Power” and “Rustavi Water”, is a member of one and the same investment group, rendering water supply service to 2 520 customers in Mtskheta (population) and 90 budgetary organizations and commercial objects. Every month “Mtskheta Water” buys 490 992 m3 of drinking water from “Georgian Water and Power”.


Starting from September, 2008, water supply of Mtskheta is being carried out in uninterrupted regime, unlike previous years, when the Mtskheta population had a strict water supply schedule.


In January-August, 2009, “Mtskheta Water”, with technical assistance of “Georgian Water and Power”, rehabilitated several central water supply pipelines, eliminated 70 emergency damages on sewerage network and 129 such damages  on water supply pipeline. Before the end of 2009 there is planned rehabilitation of water supply and sewerage networks of Mukhrani, Miriani, Gamarjveba and Borjomis streets.
