10/08/2016 Georgian Water and Power training program underway
The internship program for the candidates selected as a result of GWP Employment Forum is well underway.
Human Capital Development Department has selected for training 32 participants and distributed them among 8 mentors in different directions of water supply field. The participants are being graded according to the predesigned system.
The internship of students in the field of water supply is carried out on the basis of Central Chemical and Microbiological Testing Laboratory, Department of construction and repair, Design service, Technical support service and etc.
Objective of the Employment Forum is to promote development of water supply sector in Georgia. The internship program will last for 45 days. Its participants will acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
" The interns are involved in each process as much as possible under my supervision as a mentor. They are becoming familiar with the specifics of the work of the laboratory, water quality management, water legislation and normative documents.
The employment forum participants are gaining theoretical knowledge along with practical experience – they are performing routine chemical and microbiological analysis, using a variety of modern equipment "- says Tamar Nikuradze, head of Central Chemical and Microbiological Testing Laboratory.
The company plans to implement similar projects in future as well. The next employment forum is scheduled for the spring of 2017.
