05/08/2016 Georgian Water and Power Company makes weekly report to the population
Construction of Saguramo new hydropower plant has been completed. The power plant commissioning works moved to the active phase. Main generator hall of Saguramo HPP is arranged by this time and the turbine generators and transformers manufactured in Europe are installed. Installation of the power plant control panels is nearing its final stage.
Construction of Saguramo HPP is aimed at improving energy efficiency of the company and ensuring uninterrupted water supply of the capital city. The company invested GEL 10.5 million to construct Saguramo HPP with high quality technology. About100 people are involved in the project.
The internship program for the candidates selected as a result of employment forum of Georgian Water and PowerCompany in being implemented in eight different directions.
This week the Department of Human Capital Development has distributed 30 participants among number of mentors of various departments. Upon completion of the internship program the participants will have a chance of employment in the company in accordance with the mentors’ assessment.
The company has continued the rehabilitation works in various districts of Tbilisi this week:
the sewage network reconstruction has started in Chavchavadze and Sajaia streets of Vake district to replace 635-meter section of sewage network.
The rehabilitation work is in active phase in Kutaisi street of Didube district. An important part of the water supply network has been replaced already.
The rehabilitation of Amaghleba street in Mtatsminda district is in the final phase. 760-meter section of distribution network and 160-meter section of sewage network have been replaced.
The rehabilitation work has been completed in Queen Tamar Street in Tskneti of Vake district. 150-meter amortized section of water supply network and 230-meter section of sewage network have been replaced.
Georgian Water and Power Company will carry out the rehabilitation of 140 streets of Tbilisi within 2016 year to replace more than 100 km of networks.
