Georgian Water and Power Company started the preparatory work to put in operation the new hydropower plant of Saguramo HPP. The high-voltage electrical connection work is going on at the substation of the HES by this time.
The company's human capital development department launched this week the second project of GWP Academy in order to develop industry competence of the staff. Selection of the participants and registration has been completed. They will review 6 main modules of the water sector development from the next week.
Full rehabilitation is being carried out on Amaghleba street in Mtatsminda district. GWP completed rehabilitation work on August 19 - the outdated 1200-meter section of water supply network was replaced and new valves of European standard were installed. The municipal department for the provision of public amenities will pave in autumn new asphalt cover for the complete rehabilitation of Amaghleba street.
GWP has continued rehabilitation works in different districts of Tbilisi this week: rehabilitation works started on Kakliani street to replace 750-meter amortized section of water supply network.
900-meter water supply network will be replaced in Veli settlement of the same district.
The first stage of rehabilitation work was completed in Tskitishvili street of Nadzaladevi district. The 850-meter amortized sewage network was completely replaced.
Baratashvili street water supply network rehabilitation works were completed in Gldani village. 500-meter amortized section of water supply network was replaced.
Rehabilitation works came to an end in Gabashvili street of Avchala 1 settlement of Gldani district. 300-meter section of water main was completely replaced.
GWP will carry out the rehabilitation work in 140 streets of Tbilisi within 2016 year and replace over 100 kilometers of network.
