16/02/2010 Georgian Water and Power and Tbilisi Municipality Conducted a Briefing about Beginning a Joint Campaign
Georgian Water and Power and Tbilisi Municipality start a 2010 year new campaign of relations with the customers, one of the main points of which is debt restructuring for Tbilisi population. The action will start on February 22 and last till the end of May.
The terms of the new campaign provide for the following:
1. In case of payment of 50 % of the debt accumulated till 2010, Georgian Water and Power will write off the rest amount of the debt. At the same time the company will individually review special cases of debt origin.
2. The company’s technical personnel will serve free of charge those socially unprotected pensioners who have no debt or are the participants of the action. They will repair damaged sanitary engineering equipment or assist in the installation of the new one.
3. In addition, within the framework of the campaign Tbilisi population will be provided with recommendations in connection with rational use of water and they will be informed on high quality of drinking water.
4. Besides prizes will be awarded for prompt payers and participants of the action.
Simultaneously with the campaign Georgian Water and Power is carrying out large scale rehabilitation works on Tbilisi streets. 70 km long water supply network is being replaced. The investment for the rehabilitation exceeds GEL 10 million.
