29/08/2013 Georgian Water and Power Company Hosted Eco Camp in Jinvali Hydro complex
Georgian Water and Power company hosted today joint Eco camp established by non-governmental organization CENN and complected with the scool children from Georgia and Armenia.
The company provided special informational and educational tour to the school children participating in the Environmental Camp activities. Specialists of GWP have been guiding the Eco camp and CENN representatives. The teenagers were able to familiarize themselves with such important facility of Tbilisi water supply as Zhinvali hydro complex.
When touring the Georgian Water and Power company unique facilities the students have seen for themselves the main technological processes of raw water’s becoming the end product – drinking water, received comprehensive information about quality of water in Tbilisi and made sure how safe it is for the population of the capital city to consume tap water.
Representatives of the company handed out to Georgian and Armenian schoolchildren the flayers containing interesting information about the necessity of saving water resources and drinking water quality in Tbilisi.
