George Gachechiladze has been appointed to the position of the director general of GWP
According to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Company George Gachechiladze has been appointed to the position of the director general. Prior to filling this position George Gachechiladze has headed the crisis situations management staff of Georgian Water and Power Company.
George Gachechiladze is an economist by profession. He was born in Tbilisi in 1968. Mr. Gachechiladze was graduated from the economics department of I. Javakhishvili University of Tbilisi and took MA in economics from the same University. In 1999 – 2000 he had worked as head of Customs Department. In 2001 – 2003 he had held the position of Minster of Economics. Starting from 2003 Giorgi Gachechiladze has been engaged in the private sector.
Priority of the activity of the new director general will be increase of stability of water supply and water drainage systems of the capital city as well as provision of uninterrupted water supply to the population of Tbilisi, improvement of the standards of service and fundamental modernization of the existing systems.
Giorgi Gachechiladze replaced Alexey Kuznetsov on the post of company’s CEO.
