13/05/2014 Students of Medical University visited the central laboratory of GWP
Today Georgian Water and Power has arranged informative-educational tour for students of Tbilisi Medical University for the second time. 22 students of public health faculty of Medical University have visited Grmagele Head Works and Central Chemical and Mictrobiological Test Lab for familiarizing with the practices.
The students have seen with their own eyes main technological processes of raw water transformation into drinking water and realized that drinking water running from taps in Tbilisi is a product specially produced by the company for the capital’s population.
The students of public health faculty of Medical University have become more interested in specific character of operation of GWP Central Chemical and Mictrobiological Test Lab and water quality monitoring system. They have seen how the lab specialists test organoleptic, chemical and microbiological indicators and parameters of drinking water as well as chlorine dosage and how they monitor residual chlorine in drinking water.
GWP Central Chemical and Mictrobiological Test Lab is one of the first competent and independent lab in Georgia which has been accredited with ISO-17025 standard, and which tests drinking water quality round-the-clock. The Central Lab coordinates operation of other labs of the company.
