Georgian Water and Power Company Hosted in Aragvi Gorge Environmental Camp Established by CENN
Georgian Water and Power company hosted today environmental camp established by CENN NGO.
The company provided special informational and educational tour to the school children from Sagarejo and Borjomi participating in the Environmental Camp activities. Administrative director of GWP Ltd Nikoloz Bakhtadze and specialists of the company have been guiding the Environmental Camp and CENN representatives since the morning. The teenagers were able to familiarize themselves with such important facilities of Tbilisi water supply as Zhinvali hydro complex and Natakhtari water supply system.
When touring the Georgian Water and Power company unique facilities the students have seen for themselves the main technological processes of raw water’s becoming the end product – drinking water, received comprehensive information about quality of water in Tbilisi and made sure how safe it is for the population of the capital city to consume tap water.
Representatives of the company handed out to schoolchildren from Sagarejo and Borjomi the flayers containing interesting information about the necessity of saving water resources and drinking water quality in Tbilisi.
CENN initiative is being implemented with the support of USAID under the Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Mitigation (CCADM) project and covers six municipalities of Georgia.
