18/11/2011 Rehabilitation of Water Supply Networks in Rustavi
Today Joerg Matthies CEO of Company Rustavis Tskali familiarized Zakaria Darchiashvili - Rustavi Mayor and Kakha Gurgenidze Chairman of Sakrebulo with rehabilitation works going on water supply and sewage networks in Mshvidoba Street, Rustavi. 700 mm water supply network in Mshvidoba Street is being entirely replaced with the total length of 360 meters. After completion of the indicated rehabilitation works Rustavis Tskali will provide with stable water supply “Internati Settlement” and industrial area, where different manufacturing and large companies are located. Rustavis Tskali is replacing obsolete water supply and sewage systems of the city with new ones acording to the plan. The works scheduled for the current year will be completed with rehabilitation of communications running in Mshvidoba and Tbilisi streets. The company has already rehabilitated water supply network in Mshenebeli and Pirosmani streets, which connects Chatmi reservoir with the city line. Rehabilitation works on backbone network in Tbilisi Street are coming to an end, where 50 m damaged section of 700 mm main conduit is being replaced with a new one. As a result of rehabilitation of the street networks water supply of Rustavi will be more stable, losses and number of faults will significantly reduce. For improvement of the city water supply and its reliability Rustavis Tskali is renovating not only water mains and interquartile networks, but it is also implementing large-scale and big budget projects. Total rehabilitation works have been carried out at such important water supply facility in Rustavi as Khrami headwork. Five of its seven shaft wells have already been rehabilitated and equipped with new pumping units. After their rehabilitation water supply of Rustavi has considerably improved.
